Let acclaimed novelist and self-proclaimed swot Sara Sheridan carry you back to 1822 Edinburgh, where botanical intrigue and adventure are the watchwords in a city poised for two historic events; the impending visit of George IV, and the rumoured flowering of the exotic Agave American, for the first time in decades. Amid the beautiful setting of Castle Kennedy Gardens, Sara will lay bare the secrets of her research into the world’s most unusual plants and the people who cultivate them.
