Celebrate the Scottish Rhododendron Festival by joining our former Head Gardener on this wonderful tour of the Gardens. Learn about the Garden’s renowned Rhododendron collection will be in full bloom, including many original specimens brought to the Gardens by plant collector Sir Joseph Hooker. Discover hidden treasures and see spectacular seasonal highlights on this special guided walk. Castle Kennedy Gardens is best known for its collection of rare and hybrid species of Rhododendrons found throughout the Gardens. Among the most beautiful are the many tall Rhododendron arborum, and the British Champion (tallest) can be found growing near Mount Marlborough. Other notable examples include Rhododendron griersonianum, Rhododendron Loderi King George, Rhododendron Review Order and Rhododendron hodgsonii.
After the tour, stop at the Tea Room to enjoy some delicious home-baking or lunch and we will provide a hot drink for hot free.
