Thinking about looking after wildlife and with all the worries about all the plastic waste going into the oceans it is great that some of our Summer Holiday activities will help the planet. Recycling is a big theme in the next Garden Ranger Activities when we will be making high flying kites from plastic bags, tooting on Musical Tooteroos made from straws and plastic bottles plus enjoying launching home-made rockets with plastic lemonade bottles in the Rocket Laboratory.
READ MOREI am really looking forward to the next Garden Ranger activities as I will be making rubbish into something beautiful and that is something that makes me smile. On the 9th of August we will be flying high with our recycled kites, create from plastic carrier bags. These are always great fun and will fly with little or no wind around. After that we will be looking even higher when we look at the sun and use sunlight to create some unique Nature Prints.

Campfire Treats - Even though everyone had just had lunch in the Castle Kennedy Tearoom they had left a bit of room for marshmallows, chocolate bananas and some freshly made scones and jam
