Beautiful displays of Snowdrops appear across the Gardens, reminding us Spring is on its way and bringing lighter nights with it! Our weekend openings begin Saturday 3rd February as we celebrate Scotland’s Snowdrop Festival. Pretty displays of the bell-shaped beauties can be seen near the 16th-century Castle Kennedy ruins with more specialist varieties waiting to be discovered inside the Walled Garden. Special access around the Black Loch at this time of year means visitors can witness a wonderful part of the Garden which is usually not available.
Our Gardeners have been busy over Winter making many improvements to trails, paths and roads. Visiting the Gardens is a great family day out You can let the children run free and feed your soul with the spectacular sight of Snowdrops and Spring bulbs. Then treat yourself to a bowl of delicious, homemade soup and Snowdrop-themed bakery, part of a new seasonal menu available in the Gardens Tea Room.
