The winter geese are still here and various ducks are on the water. Many of these will be leaving soon leaving behind only our resident species over the summer months. Did you know that the White Loch is considered to be such an important feeding and roosting area for Greenland white-fronted geese that it is protected under European Law as a Special protection Area or SPA? The other geese think this is brilliant too!
Well we know that’s how it sounds and you can see here how stunningly beautiful it is but try as we might we couldn’t actually spot one today. If you are lucky enough to see one AND you have a camera with you – what about putting a photo of it on our Facebook page? We’d love that.
