GUIDED WALK ‘WHAT’S IN A NAME

Guided Walk ‘What’s in a Name’
Wednesday 8th July 2015

This Guided Walk was discussing how it is thought certain plants got their names i.e. Araucaria araucana otherwise known as the Monkey Puzzle.

The Cordyline Australis pictured above is sometimes referred to as the Cabbage Palm the reason being it is reputed the aborigines from the Southern Hemisphere ate the young crowns as a vegetable but I would not recommend this!
