Our ponds and lochs – don’t forget, the White AND the Black – are now buzzing with activity. We’ve all sorts of weird and wonderful water creatures – and what fantastic colours! Seeing is indeed believing. Just look at the hues on this blue damselfly. Eggs are hatching on and under fronds and leaves and when they do, the little larvae immediately swim off to the shallows to feed – safe from predators or so one hopes. We can nip in at this point and gently drag a net across the surface of the water to scoop up and get close to hundreds of… well, bring the family and come and see for yourself.
